Impacted Teeth
Impactions are caused by improper positioning of a developing tooth bud, preventing a tooth from erupting into your mouth. An impaction also may be caused by crowded teeth or the loss of primary teeth during childhood.
Impaction can:
- Cause damage to the root structure of your adjacent teeth
- Leave unattractive spaces
- Interfere with your sinus cavity
- Create problems related to teeth function
- Cause premature wear to the teeth
- Move teeth out of symmetrical alignment
- Create a less-attractive smile
